The National Department of Health is organizing the Consultation Workshop on the National Health Research Agenda for Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby on 5-6 November 2024.

This workshop will gather leaders from government, academia, healthcare, non-governmental organizations, and international partners to identify and prioritize key research areas. Together, we will work to address critical gaps in knowledge and to establish a strategic framework for future health research in Papua New Guinea.

Objectives of the Workshop:

To provide an overview of a mapping of health research conducted in 2020 to 2024.
To discuss opportunities and challenges for health research in Papua New Guinea.
To use foresight analysis to discuss future health research needs; and
To identify an initial list of research priorities for inclusion in the National Health Research Agenda.
